Pancyr-S1 (Pantsir S-1, NATO designation: SA-22 Greyhound) is a modern Russian self-propelled air defense system, mounted on tracked or wheeled chassis. The first prototypes were built in 1994, but serial production only started in 2008. It is assumed that so far about 200 sets of the system have been created, and the unit price of this system (in the export version) oscillates around USD 13.15-14.7 million according to 2011 prices. The UMZ plants based in Ulianovsk are responsible for the production of the set.

The Pancyr-S1 system is a rocket and artillery system consisting of two 30mm 2A83 twin-barrel autocannons and 12 57E6 or 57E6E AA missile launchers. The set is dedicated to counter air targets in the form of airplanes, helicopters or tactical missiles at short and medium distances. It is assumed that the Pancyr-S1 is a very far-reaching development of the 2K22 Tunguska system. The set is usually mounted on a wheeled chassis, and the wheeled transporter is then used by appropriately adapted KAMAZ-6560, BAZ-6909 or MAN SX45 trucks. In the case of a tracked chassis, the GM-352M1E vehicle is used. The kit was used by government troops in Syria during the civil war in Syria since March 2011, as well as during operations in Donbas (from April 2014).
